The giRAMROD™ is now available for Knight, Remington, Traditions or any other muzzleloader using a 9mm (.354 inch) ramrod.
CVA rifles that came equipped with the CVA PalmSaver ramrod require a 9mm diameter ramrod.
There must be at least 2 3/16" clearance between the end of the barrel and the thimble (the thimble is the ramrod mounting bracket underneath the barrel).
giRAMRODs are made specifically for your muzzleloader model to ensure that your giRAMROD is the perfect length to clean and load your muzzleloader while it does not extend past the barrel when mounted and is out of the way of the discharge. The Bad News
Just like a river carved out the Grand Canyon over time, using a ramrod without a bore guide will wear down lands in a muzzle over time. Even though the barrel is a harder metal than the typical ramrod, the repetitive rubbing will eventually will damage the crown of the rifling, removing the lands from the end of the barrel adversely affecting your accuracy. That's the bad news.
The Good News
The good news is that a simple Bore Guide from Gunn Innovations will center the ramrod in the barrel to avoid any damage to your rifle. The Bore Guide will fit in any barrel from .45 to .58 cal.
